had loads of fun during the homefront camp in the past 4 days and 3 nights
made many new frens
and learnt how to do many things.

EDUCATIONAL

lets start the post.
day 1.
home.
eating a heavy breakfast of magee noodles.
[as we learnt from home econs, for nutritional value, i added crabmeat and fishcakes]
then left the house carrying my unexpectingly-light camp bag.
loaded on to my father's lorry.
called iskandar.
iskandar came
loaded him bag on my dad's lorry
then got into the vehicle and made our way to eunos
okay.
maybe this part is kinda boring.
-FAST FORWARD-
1. met yongxiang and chris
2. took newspapers
3. waited.
4. bus came.
-FAST FORWARD END-
okay so we boarded the bus, and slowly made our way to the scdf. in the bus. the first of the insanity and hyperness broke out. vs people at the back were playing handphone music and singing along. SOFTLY. [repeat - its just the start] that was when i started to regret not bringing my phone. hais.
when we reached the scdf,
we went to the 2nd or 3rd floor.
airconditioned teaching rooms.
placed bags on the floor,
lessons and modules begun
so the guy talked.
and talked.
and talked.
and we slept.
and slept
and slept.
barely paying attention
[ask someone to talk to u for 5 hours and feel the pain]
[OH. and include a styrofoam box of beehoon inside. we had it for lunch]
after 5 hours of learning about fire safety
chemical attacks
biological attacks
radiological attacks
in place protection
and prevention tactics.
THE PRACTICAL FINALLY CAME
EVERYONE SIMPLE WENT WOOOHOO

students were split into two groups
one group went for fire extinguishers first.

we had to like seal up the place to prevent gas from coming thru

even with a window. untaped. just some plastic bag was just hanging there covering the hole.

and went out
for the switch of programmes
we went for fire extinguisher next.
so one by one
we went there
carried the not-so-heavy thing

to extinguish the fire.

the practicals were soon over.
we grabbed our bags and went up the bus to proceed to campsite.
we reached the campsite
received our room numbers.
the victorian five was sadly, separated.
iskandar chris hudson went to room 102 with 2 from masjusri sec
me and yongxiang to room 304 with 2 from chai chee sec and 1 from tampines sec
so we checked in
placed our belongings within
and started befriending our room mates.
oh oh.
the lodging conditions were awesome.
the room is well lit
spacious.
nicely decorated with wallpapers
we each have our own cardboards
and there was aircon.
personal beds.
small drawers to put our wallets and stuffs
and the toilet was very clean as well.
after placing our stuff we went down for dinner.
i saw the food.
hoping it would be as nice as the previous year's
holy cow awesome.
it was NICER.
this camp was by then perfect.
many friends to meet
nice food
good lodging.
PERFECT.
so we had a delicious dinner.
then went back to the lodging area.
we split up into our groups
me, iskandar, christopher, yong xiang one group [competitive]
hudson and two chung cheng girls [uncompetitive]
in groups, we decided on our storyline and planned characters and materials out.
the story goes like this.
a guy named billy watches tv.
ignores warnings of attack on tv.
attacks comes.
dies.
using reverse of frames, we rewind that part.
and he heeds the warning.

and survives.

soon after that lights out
and we went back to the dorms and slept.
i really enjoyed that PEACEFUL night.
the 2nd and 3rd night, simply horrible.

2nd day.
woke up.
morning pt.
ran one round.
then had breakfast.
victorians had to serve breakfast on the 2nd day.
so we placed the fish burgers on plates and served them one by one, before taking our own share of the nice food.
after breakfast, we proceeded to training rooms where we started to learn about animaker programme and cut out animation techniques. very interesting. kinda different from what we have learnt from school. we then learnt about the PERSISTENCE OF VISION, and about olden forms of animation.

after lunch we came back early and got to watch wallace and gromit ;D

after watching wallace and gromit the competitive groups were asked to move.
we separated from huddy and went to a nearby room.
telok kurau people and chung cheng high main people were there.
its only 2 days and i miss those good ol buddies. =/
so we started on the real thing.

the camp instructors did not ask us to go back to our dorms.
he led us to somewhere at the back of the dining area.
there it was dimly lit
and the presence of camp instructors hiding at the corner trying to scare us could be clearly seen.

so we continued on our animation.

after that was dinner.
after dinner was the adding of music and stringing the scenes to together
by 11.15pm we were all done and we watched wallace and gromit
soon later we proceeded out of the training rooms and to a quiet part of the campsite for a briefing about the presentation on the fourth day.
after that, sleep.
